Cyril Brun, Champagne Charles Heidsieck, über Blanc des Millénaires 2007

The Legend is Back: Even in 2007 there is a Vintage Blanc des Millénaires and Cyril Brun, Charles Heidsieck’s Chef de Cave, gives us a short overview on this wine. 

Note I: 2007: A chaotic year in Champagne. After rather mild temperatures until the end of July, the rain came and dirt was cold in August, which slowed down the ripening of the grapes. In general the wines have a very high total acidity. So this Blanc des Millénaires is a Chardonnay powerhouse with a lot of acidity. 

Note II: The vintage 2007 is only the seventh cuvée: It startet with the vintage 1983, followed by 1985, 1990, 1995, 2004, 2006 and 2007
