Anselme Selosse über Semi-wide vines
Discours viticulture: Experimentation with new types of vines has been going on in Champagne for over 15 years. This would have far-reaching effects: in general, the stock in Champagne is 8,000 to 10,000 vines per hectare, with the new medium-sized vines it should only be 4,000 to 5,500 per hectare. A heated debate has arisen around this method. This will be documented here in the coming months. The first Champagne terroirist to speak is Anselme Selosse. It is remarkable what he says about champagne as a top product, about tasting tasters and about Burgundy.
